When we last left our heroes…They were working somewhere else. Something happened and they don’t work there anymore. We now find them at OFF-ROAD KING! Our heroes consist of Cody, the muscle, Blake, the head, and Jay, the good looks. Combined together with just the right mix of talent, skill, perseverance and facial hair they form TEAM ORK. Cody went to school for this type of work, Blake learned it because he didn’t have anything else to do as a kid and I came into it blindly and have somehow stuck with it for over ten years.
Blake and I have worked together for about ten years and Cody is approaching year four of turning wrenches in the off-road field and in that time he has grown by leaps and bounds. It’s pretty cool. Blake, who also goes by Grumpy, Fluffy or Stephen depending on his mood, is our acting GM. My unofficial title is Doer of Things for obvious reasons. Cody is the Shop Foreman so he’s directly in charge of himself. In my humble opinion we make a damn fine team and get along more often than not. It really takes a combined effort to make an outfit like this work and our skill sets are staggeringly complimentary. Prime example, Blake and I talk a lot, Cody doesn’t. Like legit, dude didn’t say a word to me the first year I knew him. Oh another example, Blake has a giant ass head, Cody and I have normal size heads. It’s things like that that give us our cohesive nature. Massive head, that thing has its own gravitational pull.
So here we are at Off-Road King saving the world one lift kit at a time. We are in a position to go further and faster thanks to an active leadership that values our skill sets and pushes us to be the ones at the top of the hill. The excitement in the atmosphere is palpable, the smell of gear oil and exhaust lingers in the air. Watch out for the boys in the big orange truck! You tell’em I’m coming, and Blake and Cody are coming with me!
