2022 FORD EXPLORER TIMBERLINE

We don’t discriminate here. Not no way, not no how. We work on them all and we’re not scared to jump into something wearing the blue oval. Today we have a Ford Exploder that needed some more ground clearance so it can partake in some off-road activities. This was accomplished with the use of a 1.5″ front and rear lift from Traxda. They specialize in providing lifts for vehicles with IFS and IRS. Not that IRS, independent rear suspension. Lifting a vehicle with IRS can throw a monkey in the wrench but the folks at Traxda have these things figured out. IRS vehicles typically provide a better ride than a typical solid axle rear end but has many more suspension components that have to be accounted for to maintain proper geometry. There, you learned something today maybe.

1.5″ is nothing to laugh at and to do so is rude. This unit is all time four wheel drive so it came to play, it just needed a little extra umph in the elevation department. Cody had an absolute blast installing this kit. So much fun in fact that he spoke a few words more than usual. Unfortunately this is a family website and I’m unable to relay what those words were, but I will tell you that they were well in line with the language used by military personnel and golfers.

So there you have it ladies and gentlemen. Do you have an off-road capable SUV that may have an oddball suspension setup that needs a little help in the ground clearance department? Then look no further than Off-Road King and we’ll show you how far 1.5″ can go.
