Yes. This is exactly what you think it is. I’m sure seeing one of these out in the wild elicits emotions from a long forgotten time when a truck could be a truck and you didn’t have to choose between having a home or having a ride. But I digress. This magnificent creature is a 2007 Ford Ranger that identifies as an FX4. We did some stuff to it. Allow me to elaborate.

First off, we jacked this thing up with the help of a Superlift 4″ suspension lift kit. This helped place the Ranger closer to its natural environment, which everyone knows is in the air, because people jump these things. They frickin’ love being jumped.

This lift in turn allowed us to slap on some tires that are guaranteed to get at least 100,000 miles and are so quiet that you’ll think you have noise cancelling tires installed. They go by the name of Nitto Mud Grapplers. These bad boys are like the ninja assassins of tires. They softly whisper in your ear saying, rotate me daddy.

The wheels are from Gear Alloy and they appear to be the 761 Ratio model in a 17×9 with zero point zero offset in a gloss black finish. They are also super quiet going down the road and really help the “hell yeah brother” aesthetic this truck has going for it.

So yeah, just a cool little truck that needed some improvements and boy did it get some. Trucks like this don’t grace us with their presence often but when they do the guys in the shop are tickled to death with the rust and broken bolts. That’s all part of the game boys and girls.
