Ah the blue oval. An American classic. The Ford F150 has been carrying folks to church and gun shows and buffet dinners for generations. When we got a hold of this one it needed some help. It had a leveling kit and wheels picked out by Helen Keller. We fixed that.
First, we had to get this thing up in the air. That was accomplished with the help of Superlift’s 4.5″ suspension lift kit. Superlift Suspension has been around since the 1970’s and does everything from design to testing in house, meaning they are American made baby! Their components are extra beefy and I really hate picking up their parts because they’re heavy as hell, so you know they’re good. They ride great and install relatively easyish.
Now about those wheels. The ones it came in with were, as the kids say, booty. So booty in fact we went back with some OEM wheels and had them powder coated gloss black. They came out real nice Clark. To give it a little poke, a little stance if you will, we slapped on some 2″ wheel spacers front and rear.
So that’s that, a truck in a nutshell if you will. We took a truck that was an amalgamation of stuff and turned it into something balanced, badass and ready to truck around and find out.
